Terms of Service

Plain English, because you should be able to read this in five minutes and know exactly where you stand.

The free audit

The audit costs nothing and carries no obligation. We check your site, write up what is wrong, and send it to you. You can take that list to any developer you like. We will not chase you, and asking for an audit does not sign you up for anything.

Pricing

You get a fixed quote in writing before any work starts. That number does not change later. If you ask for something outside what we agreed, we will tell you what it costs before doing it, never after.

The money back guarantee

You see the homepage design before you pay anything. If it is not right, you walk away owing nothing and we keep the design. After that first payment, if you are unhappy at any point before the site goes live, you get a full refund. Once the site is live and you have accepted it, the build is considered delivered.

Revisions and tweaks

Five full rounds of revisions on the design. A round means you send your notes, we make the changes, you look again.

After launch, minor tweaks are free for as long as you have the site: swapping a photo, updating your hours, fixing a typo, adding a menu item. You will not get an invoice for a five minute job. Larger work such as new pages, new features or a redesign is quoted separately.

What you own

You own the domain, the hosting account, the code and the content. There is no lock-in, nothing to buy back, and no proprietary platform holding your site hostage. If you want to move to another developer, we hand everything over without a fight.

What you provide

We need your logo if you have one, photos, and your text, or at least enough information for us to write it. You confirm you have the right to use anything you send us. Projects usually stall on content rather than code, so the sooner it arrives the sooner you launch.

Timelines

A rescue job usually takes about a week. A full build takes three to five weeks from the point we have your content. These are honest estimates, not guarantees, and they move if material arrives late.

Maintenance plans

The included year of maintenance starts the day the site goes live. It covers hosting, backups, security updates and small content changes. It does not cover rebuilding the site or adding major new features. You can cancel ongoing maintenance at any time and keep the site.

What we cannot promise

We cannot guarantee a specific Google ranking, and nobody honestly can. Google's results are outside anyone's control and change constantly. What we guarantee is the work: the technical fixes, the structure, the local signals, and a monthly report so you can judge the results for yourself. Treat any agency that promises you the number one spot with suspicion.

Liability

We build carefully and test what we ship, but no website is immune to outages, hosting failures or third-party breakages. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.

Showing your work

We may show your finished site in our portfolio. If you would rather we did not, say so and we will not. We never publish client work without permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of California, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Santa Barbara County.
